Kevin is a Chartered Health and Safety professional (CMIOSH) with over 27 years experience in Health and Safety Management. He also a Principal Designer; holding Registered Membership of the Association of Project Safety (RMaPS) as well as a qualified health and safety trainer. 

Kevin has an active client facing role within, managing the company’s client relationships as well as a working Health and Safety consultant.

Since becoming a health and safety professional Kevin has gained experience across a wide spectrum of industries both nationally and internationally on a range of diverse industry environments.

Prior to a career in Health and Safety, Kevin spent over 8 years in HM Forces in the Grenadier Guards.

Kevin’s passion for Health and Safety comes from a belief that investing in people is the key to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.

Joseph Kerin LLB AIOSH

Joseph Kerin – Consultant

LLB AIOSH

Joseph is an Associate level Safety and Health professional, who joined the company in 2020. Prior to working for USP, Joseph worked as a paralegal for over 5 years for an award-winning law firm, specialising in financial litigation. Further to this, Joseph is also a fully qualified Project Manager.

Joseph comes to the company as a qualified legal professional, as well as being a qualified health and safety advisor working on several the key client accounts within the company. Given his legal background Joseph has a unique insight into the health and safety legal obligations and required legal defences from a client perspective, which is rarely seen in the field of health and safety advisory services.

Joseph has a demonstrable passion for Health and Safety which comes across very well when working with clients. This passion is driven by a clear and qualified understanding of the damaging impacts that breaches of Health and Safety legislation can cause on both an individual and a company.

Stuart Hall – Consultant

Stuart is a Chartered Health and Safety professional (CMIOSH) with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, of which, 12 have been in Health and Safety Management.

Stuart has an active client facing role with an excellent understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and experience across several sectors. He is able to provide a clear and concise explanation of requirements for general and specific concerns whilst providing cost effective and realistic solutions to issues. 

Stuart’s pragmatic approach ensures that he builds strong relationships enabling him to identify core issues quickly, this is highlighted through his relationships with clients working in the Construction and Retail industries

Stuart’s belief of everyone’s right to go home safely is his driver to help clients maintain and improve their working environments whilst ensuring they are protected.

Garry Yates

Garry Yates – Consultant

PgCert: Construction Health & Safety

Garry has over 20 years’ experience in health and safety working in national, private industries and local government authority involving civil engineering, public analyst laboratory, warehousing and logistics.

During the 20 years, he has carried out a number of roles in the health and safety field such as; Health and Safety Advisor, Manager, Consultant, carrying out Site audits, inspections, fire risk assessments, compliance audits, management system development and audits for third party certification and CDM duty roles for civil engineering and building projects large and small, with some contracts in excess of £125M.

Garry takes a pragmatic approach to health and safety enabling clients to comply with legislation and regulations without creating a bureaucratic system. He is also a lead assessor for OHSAS 18001 and ISO9001 management systems.

Garry Yates

Thomas Kingsbury – Associate

Thomas is a fully qualified health and safety professional at an associate level, who joined the team at USP in 2023.

Prior to working for USP, Thomas spent 12 years in the employment of the Armed forces as a telecommunications specialist. Further to this Thomas has completed world class leadership and management qualifications and has adopted this in a leading role whilst operating as a HM Forces employee.

Thomas holds numerous recognised NEBOSH qualifications, thus ensuring that he has a wide breath of Health and Safety legislation, allowing him to advise clients on an array of legislative requirements.

Given Thomas’s background in the Armed forces and working procedurally in high risk environments, Thomas has a natural passion for health and safety which is evident with the clients he works with. This passion is the driving force behind Thomas’s understanding of the damaging impacts that can be caused due to breaches in health and safety legislation and the impacts it can have for anyone associated with incidents that could have been avoided.

Cailey Kerin

Cailey Kerin – Client Services & Finance Manager

 

Cailey has been working for Universal Safety Practitioners for 5 years, in the role as Client Services & Finance Manager. Cailey plays a pivotal role within the organisation, often being the first port of call for our clients. Cailey looks after all our clients, from those who have contacted the organisation looking for Health and Safety support, right the way through to clients which have been with us since our inception.

Cailey brings to the organisations 16 years in a management and client liaison role, ensuring that all our clients are well looked after.
